Word To Bossman

Word to Bossman is the work of Henry Farmer, an illustrator and printmaker based in St Leonard’s. His practice blends humour, social commentary and bold design, with a style that moves between tongue in cheek graphics and more intricate illustrative pieces.

Henry’s work often plays with everyday culture such as chicken shops, street signs and nostalgic food packaging. He reimagines them with wit and sharp lines, often twisting them together with religious iconography to create something that feels both familiar and unsettling. Folklore, history and the stranger corners of human behaviour all find their way into his work, giving it a mix of satire and reverence.

Word to Bossman is not about polished galleries or taking things too seriously. It is about making work that catches your eye, makes you laugh or makes you think twice while you are eating a sausage roll.
