A medieval tapestry for an extremely modern argument.

Stoppeth Thine Boats takes the visual language of the Bayeux Tapestry, complete with heroic figures, longships, decorative beasts and questionable medieval spelling, and uses it to poke fun at Britain’s enduring ability to panic about people arriving by boat.

Part political satire, part historical joke and part deliberately ridiculous object, it treats a modern slogan as though somebody had been shouting it from the shoreline for the best part of a thousand years.
